The Genetic Counselor Assistant will be focused on the support of the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory that performs genetic testing for patients.  The Genetic Counselor Assistant will be  involved in duties such as supporting test orders through the process, completing forms, coordinating sample collection, submitting requests to insurance companies, working with laboratory and clinical genetic counselors, laboratory directors, physicians, financial clearance and insurance on prior authorizations, appeals and denials, as well as tracking test results.  Additional administrative duties will include organizing and/or developing clinical and financial resources to support test reimbursement, organizing meetings and assisting with events.
