This position will focus primarily on clinical patient care with a focus in genetic services in OSU's cancer clinic focusing on breast patients within the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. Duties and responsibilities will include genetic counseling to patient referrals, clinical investigation and formal counseling processes, risk assessment, results and appropriate follow up measures, and coordination of necessary genetic testing. Educational responsibilities include teaching genetic counseling graduate students, medical students, residents and fellows during clinical rotations. This position participates in Division of Human Genetics and Department of Internal Medicine multidisciplinary committees and meetings as well as service to the profession and university.

Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - faculty positions within the university that are not tenure track and not eligible for tenure; on a fixed term contract.   Persons with the title of professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical, assistant professor-clinical and instructor-clinical. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty department and, as appropriate, regional campus; Clinical faculty are teacher/practitioners and will be engaged primarily in teaching activities.  These faculty normally have earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field or equivalent experience.

Required: Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling required; completion of an accredited program in genetic counseling, eligible for genetic counseling licensure in Ohio from the State of Ohio Medical Board; board eligible or certified genetic counselor required.
