The Cancer Genetics Program at the Northwell Health Cancer Institute is looking for an additional adult cancer genetic counselor who would like to be a part of a vibrant and growing clinical, research and educational environment. Position is based in Westchester County, NY and will involve coverage at both Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, NY and Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisko, NY. The position will be a mix of in-person (approximately 3-4 days/week) and remote coverage (approximately 1-2 days/week). The successful candidate will join a team of six adult cancer genetic counselors, a research coordinator, an administrator and two administrative assistants.
In addition to providing clinical care, the counselor will have the opportunity to supervise genetic counseling students, assist in medical student and resident education, and participate in clinical research. The genetic counselors at Northwell Health are an integral part of a multidisciplinary team that includes medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, advanced care practitioners, and psycho-oncology professionals. The Cancer Genetics Program has a strong commitment to professional development and collaborative care. Educational activities include a weekly case conference, regularly scheduled journal clubs, and support for participation in outside continuing education.

The salary range for this position is $75,020.01-$126,250.02/year

Requires completion of master’s level training at a program accredited by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC); ABGC certification or eligibility.
