ACL Laboratories, part of Advocate Aurora Health, is recruiting for a senior laboratory genetic counselor to support our Cytogenetics, Molecular Genetics, and Referral Testing departments. Major responsibilities: • Provides communication between ACL Laboratories and clinical providers, including clinical genetic counselors, physicians, and clients, and external laboratories performing referred genetic testing. • Reviews genetic testing orders for clinical appropriateness, including testing performing internally as well as assays referred to an external laboratory. This may include collecting and reviewing pertinent medical data to assist in guiding and identifying appropriate testing and contacting ordering providers to discuss appropriate testing strategies.
