The Department of Neurology has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Genetic Counselor 1 to work in Miami, FL.   The Genetic Counselor 1 provides genetic counseling, education, and psychological support for those with genetic disorders, birth defects, positive newborn screening results or who are at risk for a variety of inherited conditions.  Provides services in response to a wide variety of referral indications, such as pediatric and adult genetics, cancer, and preconception.  Provides outreach and education to healthcare professionals and the general population. Establishes and maintains partnerships with community and disease organizations. Develops educational and promotional materials.
