The Endocrinology, Diabetes & Nutrition Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting for a Research Genetic Counselor to work on an exciting study comparing methods of contact of family members for cascade screening and the associated ethical considerations.  The study population are members of the Amish community, and all participant interactions will occur in Lancaster, PA.  The genetic counselor will work as an integral member of the research team, providing pre- and post-test counseling, including general information about familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) and long QT syndrome (LQTS), risks and benefits of genetic testing, informational and support resources and a medical referral letter summarizing key aspects of the counseling session.  It is hoped that
