DescriptionThere is an immediate opening for a Genetic Counselor on the Rare Diseases Management Team within the Division of Human Genetics. The role will involve an equal mix of clinical work supporting the RASopathy program while developing the program into a Center of Excellence, as well as providing clinical research coordination for highly complex gene therapy trials.REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES???Client CareAct as the liaison for clients. Obtain and/or evaluate the medical histories of a client to determine the risk for genetic or medical conditions and diseases. Discuss with a client the features, natural history, means of diagnosis, genetic and environmental factors, and management of risk for genetic or medical conditions and diseases.
