We are seeking a Prenatal Genetic Counselor to provide expert counseling and work alongside other team members.
Provide pre-test and post-test genetic counseling to help patients understand the benefits/limitations of testing, test results and make informed medical decisions.
Provide genetic counseling support to physicians and laboratory staff as needed.
Contribute to the establishment of genetic counseling best practices for telehealth.
Establish relationships and work with laboratory staff, physicians to provide patients with the best possible care.
Assist with the development and validation of genetic counseling products as needed.
Assess recurrence risk and recommend medical or genetic testing based on analysis of the risk, benefit, and cost.
Interact with the genetics and fertility community as well as patient advocacy groups through social media.
Board-certified or board-eligible genetic counselor.
2+ years clinical experience in hereditary cancer, preconception, prenatal, and/or reproductive genetics.
Experience with telephone and video counseling.
Excellent planning, communication, and organizational skills.
Reports to the Director of Genetic Counseling Services and works in tandem with other key Directors/Managers.

Position requires 20 hours per week minimum with flexibility on days of the week worked.
