The University of Michigan is seeking a full-time genetic counselor in the Cancer Genetics Clinic. The individual in this position will work as part of an established team of genetic counselors, clinical geneticists, oncologists, and medical subspecialists. The University of Michigan is a leading center for clinical genetics and genomics and evaluates patients for a broad spectrum of genetic syndromes. The genetic counselor will provide genetic counseling services commensurate with working at an academic medical center. The Cancer Genetics Clinic has missions of clinical care, medical education, and research, and is engaged in collaborations with other translational research programs at the University of Michigan. The genetic counselor will be a part of the Cancer Genetics Clinic. Genetic counselors are involved in education and supervision for trainees, including genetic counseling students, medical students, residents and fellows and will have ample opportunities for academic growth, including research and teaching. Essential job functions include:

Masters degree in genetic counseling. This Classification requires registration, certification or licensure with the appropriate agency as identified on the Primary Source verification Matrix.

Additional Salary Information: This is a one-year term limited position with the possibility of extension. Extension will be based on the availability of funding and performance.
