The paramedic/transporter assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care which is designed to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient. Will transport supplies, charts, specimens, and patients in a safe manner. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Works under the direction of one or more RNï¿½s completing both clerical and patient care tasks, and assists with maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications
Maintains current license and certifications of Paramedic, BLS and ACLS.
Must have phlebotomy skills.
Must have basic knowledge of computer skills.
1 year paramedic experience preferred.
Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. Constantly required to walk or stand.
Frequently required to lift, move, or turn patients. Ability to write and speak English.
Frequently required to push patients on stretchers, and wheelchairs, etc.
Constantly required to communicate with patients, staff, visitors, and physicians
