The Cancer Genetics Program at the Northwell Health Cancer Institute is looking for three additional adult cancer genetic counselors who would like to be a part of a vibrant and growing clinical, research and educational environment. Positions based at the Northwell Health Center for Advanced Medicine in New Hyde Park, NY; Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, NY; and Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, NY are available. In addition to providing clinical care, counselors at all locations will also supervise genetic counseling students, assist in medical student and resident education, and participate in clinical research. The genetic counselors will be part of a multidisciplinary team including medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, and advanced care practitioners. The program has a strong commitment to professional development and collaborative care. Educational activities include a weekly case conference, regularly scheduled journal clubs, and support for participation in outside continuing education.
