Under minimal supervision and according to established policies and procedures, maintains and calibrates all anesthesia equipment in optimal working order, including sophisticated monitoring equipment for the recovery room, SDC unit, and holding areas, as well as anesthesia locations throughout the Hospital. Maintains proper stock of medications and equipment used in anesthesia, and provides assistance in setting up, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing sophisticated anesthesia equipment. Has access to non-narcotic medications and may stock and transport medication cart. Ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients in the following age groups: All ages; Neonates; Infancy; Toddler; Preschool; School age; Adolescent; Adult; Geriatric.
Qualifications: The level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of a High School Diploma plus and additional one year of training or schooling in biomedical equipment and procedures.
2. One to two years of experience in anesthesia equipment maintenance and repair.
