The Department of Pediatrics Genetics is seeking an Genetics Counselor to provide patient counseling on genetic markers, disease prevention, and other health information. They review medical records, perform clinical evaluations, and prepare case summaries. Genetics Counselor provide support and education to patients and their families and conduct research in the field of genetic counseling. They help train medical students under the direction of faculty.
This position is open to both the Genetic Counselor and Senior Genetic Counselor titles dependent upon qualifications.

Education: Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from an American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) accredited training program.
Licensure: Board Certification or eligible by the American Board Of Medical Genetics (ABMG). Certification required within 18 months of hire date.
