Communicate with professional clients to ensure coordination of complex cases
Critical review and revision of laboratory reports
Communication of abnormal and complex results to professional clients
Professional client liaison regarding testing strategies and recommendations
Expert liaison for lab support and marketing staff
Educator and resource for professional trainees including genetic counseling students
Involvement in new test development and delineation of policies and procedures
Contribute to professional manuscripts and presentations
Professional knowledge of clinical and laboratory genetics and related resources
Effective oral and written communication skills
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and with the laboratory teams.
Basic knowledge of laws regulating laboratory functions.
Strong computer skills and comfort with databases
Degree: Master of Science or Master of Arts in Genetic Counseling granted by a genetic counseling program accredited by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or a comparable Master’s degree program
Certification: Board certified or Board eligible in Genetic Counseling by either the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG) or the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).
Must be able to work in the USA with no restrictions
Onsite training with remote option available for GC with appropriate laboratory experience
Telecommuting is allowed.
