Under the supervision of the Surgical Services Director, OR Charge Nurse and Director of Anesthesia, the Anesthesia Technician is responsible for supporting the Anesthesiologist throughout all anesthetizing locations of the hospital. This work is primarily performed in the operating room, by setting up and changing over Anesthesia carts, assisting the physician with difficult intubations, moving equipment as required by the Anesthesiologist, cleaning and maintenance of Anesthesia equipment and maintaining an aseptic environment. Assists with Laser procedures in the Laser Safety Officer (LSO) role as deemed necessary.

Transports patients to and from the operating room, lifting and moving patients and equipment, cleaning and maintenance of equipment in the O.R., and cleaning the operating room to establish an aseptic environment.
