Fox Chase Cancer Center- Temple Health has an opening for a full-time Cancer Genetic Counselor to join a vibrant team of genetic counselors, nurses, and medical oncologists working together to provide risk assessment and clinical follow up for individuals with or at risk for hereditary cancer syndromes. Applicants must be able to complete tasks independently, but also work well as part of an interdisciplinary team and have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. The Risk Assessment Program of Fox Chase offers a rich educational environment that includes interdisciplinary conferences and tumor boards. Interested candidates will have opportunities for research, lecturing, and student supervision.

American Board of Medical Genetics or American Board of Genetic Counseling Certified (or eligible)
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania licensure (or eligible)
3 or more years of experience in genetic counseling for adult onset genetic disorders and/or cancer preferred.
1 Year experience in teaching and/or student supervision (Preferred)

Thorough knowledge of current theories and principles of human genetics and best-practice counseling techniques
Integration of genetic counseling principles into the clinical and research setting
Familiarity with research and evidence related to the science of cancer risk counseling, genetic testing and education
Demonstrated ability to interact with peers, medical staff, patients/families and other constituents involved in patient care
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to conduct all activities in accordance with professional ethics and values
Experience with electronic medical systems preferred
