Cayman Theraplay is a 3,000sq ft pediatric therapy private clinic that currently offers occupational therapy services utilizing an Ayres Sensory Integration framework, and is looking to expand service options to include speech-language pathology starting August 2019. This is a program development and assessment/treatment position.
We are looking for a SLP with strong experience in social thinking, pragmatic language and executive functioning. Must be able to work with little oversight and have a passion for program development.
A variety of medical and developmental conditions most commonly seen include sensory integration and sensory processing differences (motor and regulation), dyspraxia/developmental coordination disorder, developmental delay, expressive and receptive language delays and disorders, learning disorders, autism, genetic disorders and other neurological conditions.
Speech-language pathology focus to include articulation, expressive/receptive differences, executive function and social learning.
General Responsibilities Include:
Create and develop the SLP program in collaboration with the Clinical Director to ensure programming is inline with clinic vision and community needs. This includes but is not limited to creating assessment and plan of care templates; intake packet questions targeting SLP needs; consultation procedures; etc.
Assist with marketing SLP services
Assessment and diagnosis of children birth—18
Planning and individual treatment and in the clinic and natural environments for children birth—18
Facilitation and development of therapy groups as appropriate
Presentations and workshops for schools, paraprofessionals, and parents
Collaboration with other professionals
Master's in Speech-Language Pathology
At least 5 years clinical experience in pediatrics
Competent in assessing, diagnosing and treating speech-language disorders including pragmatic language, executive functioning, and social learning needs utilizing the Social Thinking framework
Ability to manage a caseload of 27-30 direct treatment hours per week
Committed to evidence-based practice
Willingness to learn and to expand skill set
Ability to work independently and work as a team, as well with other disciplines
Superior communication and time management skills
Must be a fun, positive and genuinely invested person
No criminal background
Have a driver's license and able to drive

Additional Salary Information: Benefits:
Tax free salary $75,000 - $82,500 USD annually DOE (will be paid in Cayman dollars at $60,000 to $66,000 KYD)
$125USD/mo towards health insurance (will be paid in Cayman dollars at $100 KYD)
