Genetic Counselor
Community Cancer Institute, Community Regional Medical Center
Fresno is a city of over half-a-million located in the sunny Central Valley of California. As the largest city between San Francisco and Los Angeles, we serve a population of over a million inhabitants of diverse ethnic backgrounds. Community Regional Medical Center, closely affiliated with UCSF-Fresno, is the largest provider of health care in the Valley. CRMC offers genetic consultation and counseling services in all areas of clinical genetics. Our growing Genetics staff now includes two M.D. Clinical Geneticists, one PH.D. Medical Geneticist and four Genetic Counselors. Community Cancer Institute's Oncology Genetics Department is seeking a Genetic Counselor to join our Ph.D. Medical Geneticist in providing genetic consultation and counseling in all areas of cancer genetics. In Auigust we moved to the new 100,000 square foot facility on our Clovis Hospital campus. Services provided in the Institute include treatment for all types of cancer, multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinics, and a myriad of support services to help patients and their families navigate diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Fresno is situated an easy 2-3 hour drive from the Pacific Coast and from Yosemite and King’s Canyon national parks. In addition to the UCSF Medical Education (residency) program, Fresno is home to California State Fresno and to several community colleges and professional schools.
