The Genetic Counseling Manager is responsible for managing the genetic counseling program for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, developing and overseeing onsite clinical programs in Gainesville and the outlying areas as well as the telemedicine program. The position coordinates genetic counseling schedules, works collaboratively with clinicians and staff to optimize use of best practices for genetic counseling/screening/testing, supervises the genetic counseling staff, develops policies and procedures governing genetic services, and participates in the educational programs for students/residents/fellows/clinicians/community.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in genetics counseling or a related field from a program accredited by a national certification board for medical genetics personnel, and a minimum of 5 years of professional genetic counseling experience, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in genetics counseling; computer skills; NSGC member
