Providence is calling a Medical Assistant (MA) / Scribe (Cardiology Services, Day, 1.0) to Providence Medical Group in Walla Walla, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Work closely with physicians and mid-level providers (i.e. nurse practitioners, etc.) to help ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.
Accompany provider(s) into the exam room and accurately document confidential patient information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Inform provider(s) when diagnostic studies are completed, prepare them for review, and document in EMR.
Apply your knowledge, skills, and experience in patient interactions that take place both in person and over the telephone.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Current licensure as a Certified Medical Assistant in Washington State
Current Basic LifeSupport (BLS) certificate through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience in a medical setting, working with confidential patient information
Medical transcription experience
