The Maternal Fetal Medicine Department of Carilion Clinic is seeking a full-time Genetic Counselor to join our dedicated clinical team to provide comprehensive prenatal genetic services to region of Western Virginia. Our patient population and clinical indications for referral are diverse and will provide the successful candidate with broad exposure. As a tertiary care medical center, Carilion Clinic has the third largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the state a number of obstetric and pediatric subspecialists. Thriving multidisciplinary residency programs and affiliations with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM) and Edward Via College Osteopathic Medicine provide numerous teaching opportunities to residents, medical students, and other medical professionals. The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, on the Carilion campus in Roanoke, also provides the opportunity of academic appointment.

Master's Degree from an accredited genetic counseling training program. Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Genetic Counseling. Strong genetic counseling and interpersonal skills, intellectual interest and motivation to work independently. Clinical experience preferred.
