Polson, Montana -- Seeking an excellent physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our Nephrology practice. Part-time position, with up to 6 shifts per month. Competitive compensation, supportive practice. One to three years of experience preferred, but willing to train the right new grad. Join a collaborative, tight-knit group of providers and support staff at St. Joseph Medical Center. Enjoy outstanding quality of life in scenic beauty of Western Montana.
St. Joseph Medical Center is a 22-bed critical access
hospital serving a widely dispersed population in beautiful northwest Montana.
Through innovative partnerships including a visiting specialists program, we
are able to provide advanced care while maintaining the personal attention to
each patient that has been a hallmark of our care for more than a century. St.
Joseph has especially close ties to St. Patrick Hospital, Providence's 253-bed
tertiary center located 65 miles away in Missoula.
Polson is located within the Flathead Indian Reservation on
edge of the largest and arguably most beautiful body of fresh water in the
West. Flathead Lake, the geographic centerpiece of this part of Montana, is
framed by some of the Rockies' most scenic and spectacular subranges, including
the Mission, Salish and Swan Mountains. Life moves at a slower pace here but it
is anything but boring. From hiking, hunting and fishing to famous car shows
and other community events, residents clearly don't take each other or their
amazing natural surroundings for granted. There is a rich cultural heritage in
Polson as well, both in terms of its "wild west" history as a cattle and
logging town and its more distant history as the native lands of the Salish,
Kootenai and Pend d'Oreille peoples. Museums, parks and a cultural center
preserve the ways of the past. Living history is also apparent in the form of
Native American people and events as well as cattle ranches and farms that
continue to operate in the area.
