We are seeking a Director of Genetics Counseling to:
Lead our operational, financial, programmatic and personnel activities for the Genetic Counselor Program across UW Health.
Minimum - Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from a college or university program accredited by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or a Master’s degree in clinical or medical genetics prior to the establishment of the American Board of Genetic Counseling.
Work Experience: Minimum - Three (3) years relevant experience in the management of genetic services and/or programs. Preferred - Five (5) years relevant experience in the management of genetic services and/or programs.
Licenses and Certifications: Minimum - Eligibility for certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling. Preferred - Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling.

Demonstrated effective managerial and administrative leadership of clinical operations.
Physical Requirements: Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with some early morning or evening hours periodically. Additional hours as needed to meet operational needs.
