Duke University Health System, has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a full time prenatal Genetic Counselor for Duke Perinatal Consultants of Raleigh and Cary, North Carolina.
The Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine seeks a dynamic and self-motivated professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join a fast-paced prenatal practice providing a broad range of counseling services, including assessment and care for prenatal and preconception patients. This individual will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians, Genetic Counselors, Ultra sonographers, Advanced Practice Nurses and Pediatric Cardiologists. Some travel between sites will be required. Additional duties will include supervising genetic counseling students and assisting in Resident and Fellow education. Collaboration with other Genetic Counselors (approximately 25) within the Institution across multiple disciplines is encouraged. This position may coordinate and support research activities within an area of expertise.
Position requires completion of master’s level training at a program accredited by the Accreditation Council of Genetic Counseling (ACGC) and ABGC certification or eligibility. Employment will start upon successful completion of Employee Orientation and credentialing through Duke Health Affiliates office.
Experience preferred, but new graduates of an accredited training program will be considered. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
