We are seeking a full time genetic counselor to join our busy maternal-fetal medicine practice which includes a MFM geneticist, clinical geneticist, licensed board certified genetic counselor, ultrasonographers and nurses. We are a Comprehensive Prenatal Diagnosis Center through California Genetic Disease Screening Program. Job duties include all aspects of prenatal genetic counseling: review of pertinent medical, family and pregnancy histories, communicate genetic risks, testing and screening options, coordination of specimens and genetic test results, communication with referring physicians and patients, and care coordination for patients with high risk results. The position involves travel to local satellite clinics. The candidate would have a great deal of autonomy and independence. Scheduling does offer flexibility with capability to work from home on non-clinic days.
BC/BE Genetic Counselor from an accredited genetic counseling graduate program. Able to apply for California license is required. Spanish fluency is desired, but not required. Both experienced counselors and new graduates are welcome to apply.
