Legacy Health currently has a career opportunity for a Genetic Counselor. In working with our Maternal Fetal Medicine department our Genetic Counselor is responsible for direct patient care and patient care coordination for Medical Genetics patients.
Responsibilities will include taking family histories, teaching genetic concepts, explaining risks and benefits of various diagnostic procedures, facilitating a decision-making process for clients, documenting sessions in letters to referring care providers, calling lab results, and providing supportive, non-directive counseling.
In this role, you will be serving our patient populations in multiple clinic locations in the Portland Metro, SW Washington and Mid-Willamette Valley.

Qualified candidates will possess:
Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling
ABMG/ABGC certified or Board eligible
Genetic Counselor License required in Washington State; N/A for Oregon
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
