The Duke Clinical Cancer Genetics Program is looking for an additional counselor who would like to be a part of a vibrant clinical, research and educational environment. The position involves providing cancer genetic counseling to adults at the Duke Cancer Institute, a NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Additional duties will include supervising genetic counseling students, assisting in medical student and resident education, and participating in clinical research. Practice sites include Duke’s cancer centers in Durham and Raleigh. Telegenetics is also conducted with our cancer network clinics. The genetic counselor will be part of a multidisciplinary team including medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, and advanced practice nurses. The program has a strong commitment to professional development and collaborative care. Educational activities include a weekly case conference, regularly scheduled journal clubs, and support for participation in outside continuing education.
