1. Gather and review pertinent medical records and preparation for clinic visit. 2. Take a family pedigree and medical history and interpretation of same. 3. Participate in clinical evaluation of patient. 4. Provide information about the medical genetic diagnosis, etiology,inheritance patterns, and risk of occurrence and reoccurrence. 5. Provide information about available reproductive options and prenatal diagnosis where appropriate. 6. Prepare case summaries and genetic counseling letter. 7. Coordinate scheduling of appointments for general, specialty and outreach genetics clinics. 8. Train and supervise graduate genetic counseling students in their clinical experiences. 9. Advise and consult with local and national lay organizations and community support groups through participation on boards, advisory councils and national meetings. 10. Conduct research in the field of genetic counseling. 11. Other clinic duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/ PREFERENCES Master's level health professional who has received training from oneof the American BoardOf Medical Genetics(ABMG) certified, graduate training.
