Regions Hospital, in St. Paul, MN, is seeking a Certified Genetic Counselor to work in a temporary, benefit eligible position for 6 months starting immediately with the possibility of becoming a permanent position in the future. In this position you will work 4 days/week (0.8 FTE) with flexibility on the day off and will be based out of the Cancer Care Center serving both oncology and gynecologic oncology patients.
This position would provide a process for assessment of individuals and families at risk for genetic-related cancers and to provide education for families regarding transmission, prevention and screening based on the age-specific needs of the adolescent, adult and geriatric population served.
Graduation from a specialized Master’s degree program in medical genetics and board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or American Board of Medical Genetics required. Licensed as a Genetic Counselor by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
