The Greenwood Genetic Center (GGC) has an immediate opening for a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Clinical Genetic Counselor. The position will be located in the Charleston GGC office.
The Clinical Genetic Counselor position will primarily involve genetic education, assessment of risks and psychosocial status, immediate and ongoing support for families, discussion of testing options and coordination, visit preparation and documentation in an EHR system, interpretation of laboratory results and communication of findings. The counselor will participate in general genetics clinics. This is an opportunity to join our Charleston team of 3 clinical geneticists as well as interact with other GGC clinicians and laboratory geneticists.
