Assess medical and family histories and counsel families for genetic risk factors
Plan appropriate screening tests and collaborate results
Prepare patient summaries in conjunction with other counselors
Coordinate special projects, educational activities, and statistical reports
Oversee other counselors and support staff.
Master of Science in Genetic Counseling
Minimum of 1 year experience in clinical genetic services
must be certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or the American Board of Medical Genetics within two test cycles.
An interest in or experience with epilepsy and/or neurology patients
