Full time faculty Instructor/Senior Instructor position as a Pediatric Genetic Counselor to join our team of 12 GCs and 10 MDs in the Section of Clinical Genetics, Department of Pediatrics, University of Colorado School of Medicine
We provide integrated genetics services to children from Colorado and surrounding states in our clinics at Children’s Hospital Colorado on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, network of care sites in the Denver metro area, and regional and telemedicine sites around the state.
Some responsibilities include:
Provide outpatient genetic counseling to children and their families with known or suspected genetic disorders in general genetics, multidisciplinary specialty and genetic counseling clinics. Participate as needed in the care of infants and children in the NICU/PICU and other inpatient settings.
Participate in the education of genetic residents, genetic counseling students, pediatric residents and medical students.
Contribute to clinical research initiatives of the Section.
The Anschutz Medical Campus is in Aurora, CO, just ten miles east of downtown Denver. Competitive salary- The hiring salary for this position is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
Minimum qualifications: The individual must have graduated from an accredited genetic counseling program. The individual must be ABGC board certified or eligible for Active-Candidate-Status with ABGC and pass the ABGC certification examination within 9 months of hire.
