Prenatal Genetic Counselor Full time 40 hours/week Bedford and Nashua, NH
Dartmouth-Hitchcock is seeking a Prenatal Genetic Counselor to join a regional team of 4 genetic counselors and 3 Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians. This position will be split between our Dartmouth-Hitchcock Bedford and Nashua offices. A periodic trip to Lebanon, NH will be required. Candidates should have excellent organizational, clinical and communication skills, and be able to work independently.
Provide genetic counseling to individuals or families,
Coordinate screening and diagnostic testing, and provide appropriate follow-up.
He or she will assist physicians during consultations and diagnostic procedures, as needed.
The genetic counselor will also have the opportunity to participate in teaching of residents, medical and genetic counseling students.
Qualifications and Licensure/Certification:
Master's degree in Genetic Counseling or the equivalent in education and experience required.
Excellent communication skills required.
Board certification/eligibility in Genetic Counseling by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and Medical Genetics required.
Licensed Genetic Counselor in the state of New Hampshire
