The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC), Department of Pediatrics, seeks a Board-certified or Board-eligible Genetic Counselor for our growing clinical program. We are looking for the right candidate to join our team in an established, wide-ranging genetics program in Oklahoma City, OK. Staff Genetic Counselors in the Department of Pediatrics have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of clinics: pediatrics, cancer genetics, neurodegenerative, ophthalmology, cardiology, hematology, muscular dystrophy, etc. There are multiple opportunities for professional growth and development of special interests.

The position is within the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Genetics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. The Genetics Section has three full-time physicians, seven genetic counselors, two metabolic professionals, two PAs, its own cytogenetics and molecular genetics service and research laboratories, biochemical laboratory, and genetic epidemiology laboratory. We conduct original research, provide top-notch clinical and clinical laboratory services for much of Oklahoma, train medical students, pediatric and pathology residents, offer a Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling, genetic laboratory fellowships, and train residents in Medical Genetics.

Education: Master’s Degree in Genetic Counseling from an American Board of Genetic Counselors (ABGC) program.
