Pinon Perinatal is excited to announce a new full-time or part-time prenatal genetic counseling position within our busy and growing perinatology practice. The available position is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Experienced counselors as well as new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Applicants should be comfortable and confident counseling patients about numerous prenatal and preconception indications, collaborating with the perinatologists to form differential diagnoses based on abnormal ultrasound findings, ordering appropriate prenatal diagnostic testing for genetic disorders, general carrier screening, and communicating screening and diagnostic testing options and results to patients. Applicants should be able to work independently but also enjoy working as part of a larger team of professionals.
The position can be full time (which is considered 4 days per week, although 5 days are available) or part time with a very competitive/negotiable salary, especially for applicants with experience. The practice pays for employee health insurance and dental insurance. We also have a generous retirement plan with employer matching. The practice pays for the genetic counselor to attain continuing education each year (for a conference, this would include conference fee, CEUs, flight, hotel and food; or online course fees with CEUs) as well as NSGC membership, ABGC dues, and NM state licensure fees. Pinon Perinatal will pay for moving costs and a signing bonus is negotiable.
