Join a growing, dynamic team of genetic counselors, researchers and physicians using telemedicine to expand access and utilization of genetic counseling services.
This position is for a full-time genetic counselor in the Penn Telegenetics Program, which provides remote genetic counseling services regionally and nationally. The genetic counselor will play a critical role in the provision of genetic counseling services for a variety of clinical and research activities, via telephone and video-conferencing. This position offers the unique opportunity to work with various health systems across the nation, provide services to a diverse patient population, and contribute to the growing body of research in telemedicine.
Previous experience in telemedicine is not required as training for remote counseling skills utilizing telephone and video-teleconferencing will be provided.
Candidates should be:
Interested in genetic counseling for cancer and late-onset Alzheimer’s disease
Comfortable with technology
Able to work effectively and professionally in a supportive, friendly, team-oriented environment

Master’s degree from a genetic counseling program accredited by the American Board of Genetic Counseling
ABGC certified or eligible
Eligible to apply for state licensure
