Translational Research Core Lead
In this role, you will assume primary responsibility for developing and managing the Translational Readiness Core (TRC) and ensuring that the TRC implements and evaluates strategies for increasing the implementation of Kaiser Permanente Research Bank data into clinical care. This includes engaging with key clinical, research, and patient stakeholders, developing strong relationships with clinical partners, and identifying projects and data with a high likelihood of impacting the care delivery system. In addition, you will also lead special implementation pilots on behalf of the Kaiser Permanente Research Bank.
At least eight years of experience managing research projects or clinical programs that use genomics data, to include experience managing large-scale implementation, research projects, leading clinical care, or patient tracking programs, with two years of experience working in the field of genomics
A master’s degree in genetics, biology, genetic counseling public health, health care administration, or another directly related discipline; a M.D. or Ph.D. in life sciences, public health, basic sciences, or a related discipline with specific training in genomics or precision medicine, biobanking, population health, and/or bioethics preferred
Experienced physician, genetic counselor, or implementation scientist with specific expertise in translational genomics or precision medicine and familiarity managing large implementation projects in clinical environments
Work experience to include leading translational, implementation, or delivery sciences projects (i.e. projects with direct impact on clinical delivery systems)
Experience working in an interdisciplinary environment, particularly working between multiple clinical, research, and patient stakeholders
The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
