Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As aBloodless Medicine/Surgical Associate,you willorganize and act as a liaison for clinical operations and activities of the Bloodless Medicine and Surgery Program during the absence of the Program Coordinator\. Assists clients in understanding their options, the informed consent process, and completion of appropriate forms and serves as an advocate for Bloodless Medicine Surgery Program \(BMSP\) clients\.
Organizes and maintains the operations of the Bloodless Medicine and Surgery Program during the Coordinator's absence\.
Assists clients on an individual basis\.
Responds to questions from clients or caregivers by telephone or in person concerning client's needs for assistance by referring client to participating physicians and/or by providing educational information, clarifying forms and hospital policy\.
Monitors safety of BMSP patients by verifying that protocols are being followed\.
Adheres to standard policies as outlined in the department related to infection control, fire and safety, hazardous chemicals, personnel policies and departmental procedures\.
Performs other duties as assigned\.
